If needles are not for you, acupuncturists also use a combination of acupressure, auricular beads, soft tissue work, cupping and guasha during treatment.

Yes. Acupuncture is generally safe when performed by a licensed and trained practitioner. All needles are single-use and sterile, and treatments are tailored to your individual health needs to ensure safety and effectiveness.

The number of sessions depends on your condition, symptoms, and treatment goals. Your acupuncturist will create a personalized treatment plan after your first assessment and may adjust it as your body responds to treatment.

Yes. Most extended health insurance plans cover acupuncture. Coverage varies by plan, so it’s best to check with your provider before your appointment. painPRO takes care of direct billing for most insurance providers. Receipts and documentation are provided for insurance reimbursement if required.

Yes. Within the first 12 weeks following your accident, you are eligible for up to 12 acupuncture sessions covered by ICBC. If additional sessions are needed after this period, painPRO will complete the required paperwork to request ICBC approval on your behalf. Even if you begin acupuncture more than 12 weeks after your accident, we can assist with ICBC approval. Approved sessions are fully covered by ICBC.
