Kinesiology FAQ

A kinesiologist is a university trained allied health professional who specializes in human movement and functional rehabilitation. They assess the range of motion, strength, mobility, posture, and movement patterns to design personalized exercise programs that help with injury recovery, pain management, muscle imbalances and performance improvement.

At painPRO kinesiologists work alongside registered massage therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, registered clinical counsellors and occupational therapists to support and maintain full recovery.

While both focus on movement and rehabilitation, physiotherapy typically emphasizes assessment, manual therapy where kinesiology focuses more on exercise-based rehabilitation, functional movement, and performance optimization. • Return to work planning
  • Active rehabilitation when on short-term or long-term disability
